Helluva car
By GH1Â |Â on Sunday, May 17, 2020
This is a very well built, economically priced vehicle. There aren't many bells and whistles, the interior is a little noisy, & it's not going to ride as well as some of the higher priced, luxury SUV's. However, when you evaluate it for what it is and the market for which it was intended, it really can't be beat. We've had our for ten years & put 200K miles on it with nothing more that routine maintenance. These cars run, and run, and run, and run, and run, and run, and run. And then they run some more.… - 5.0
Great Vehicle for the money!
By vet tech | on Thursday, December 26, 2013
I've owned my Sportage since 2007 and have put over 146,000 on it. Overall, it has been incredibly reliable with no major issues. There have been some minor issues, like with the sunroof, seat warmers, and windshield wipers, but as much as I drive (over 70 miles daily, sometimes on gravel), I haven't experienced any mechanical issues, knock on wood! The battery is still original to the car, too...it has been "dead" a couple of times, but it has come back after charging it. I test drove a BMWx3 prior to purchasing my Sportage. For the most part, my Sportage has about everything the BMW had for a fraction of the cost.… - 5.0
Coolest car Ive owned in my life
By PNW Guy | on Wednesday, January 10, 2018
Ive driven a lot of different cars, and I love everything about my Sportage. My car has 192k miles on it, I drive about 60 miles each day for my commute, and I live on a very bumpy, muddy, gravelly road. The PNW is also known for our rain, and despite all these awful driving conditions, this car just powers right through it. We also had some snow here recently, and despite the 2 of solid, compacted ice and snow this car did just fine. I get about 20 miles to the gallon with a fair bit of freeway driving. This car has excellent handling, and I can even drive in downtown Seattle with all its bumpy, windy hills, and sharp turns. The sportage is no doubt fun to drive. Excellent value, if you bought a newer model with less miles on it and maintained it according to the manufacturers recommendations then itll last you longer than any of its overpriced competitors compact SUVs.…
